Noel Peebles has a list of 7 Questions To Test the Loyalty of a Real Estate Agent. Being a active Realtor, I enjoyed this 7 test questions. Perhaps a bit obvious in structure, every Realtor that I know disclose just about every line item on the Loyalty test.
What Noel may have overlooked is that most Realtors can easily determine when a FSBO Seller is simply using a Realtor as a resource (marketing information, comparibles, valuation) with no intent on using the Realtor’s services. As one reads through the Loyality check list, do not take it personally that the Realtor may call you on your ethics of attempting to gain information at the expense of the Realtor’s time. And most likely, the Realtor will not simply turn over all the marketing, and valuation information for your further review and use.
